Frustrated by the political scene? Concerned about the upcoming election? Anxious about the direction of our country?  You’re not alone.

In an effort to place all of our concerns and needs before our God, in a unified manner and a show of solidarity in our faith and trust in the Lord, Christian music artist Chris Tomlin has created an event to draw Americans together in prayer. On Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m., people of faith will gather in churches, auditoriums and other public venues throughout the country to pray for our nation.

This event, held simultaneously across the country, will be the filmed version of his July 23rd Madison Square Garden Concert with special guests Matt Redman, Matt Maher, Kim Walker-Smith of Jesus Culture, Phil Wickham, Louie Giglio, Max Lucado, Tasha Cobbs and DJ Promote.

We are quite honored that St. Francis Xavier Parish has been selected as the only church in the Cleveland area to host the event. Tickets are being sold in advance for this event (no walk-ups at this time), and we must have at least 75 tickets purchased for the event to be held. (Credit cards will not be charged until after we hit 75 tickets.)  The event will be held in our church, at 606 E. Washington St., Medina, with the support of the Medina Ministerial Association.

We welcome our brothers and sisters of all churches, religious traditions and faiths as we unite for Worship Night In America: An Evening Of Unity And Prayer For Our Country. The one-night-only event calls all streams of the church to unite – not on politics, but on the foundation of their faith in God through worship and prayer.

“The church should be about prayer,” Tomlin said. “Worship Night In America will bring together the entire church from all backgrounds and regions to do what matters most — worship our Father and unite in prayer for our country.”

In addition to music from the well-known singers, the event will include impactful messages from best-selling author Max Lucado and internationally known speaker, pastor and author Louie Giglio.
