Reconciliation
“Sin is not a stain that I must wash out. What I need to do is ask forgiveness and reconcile myself, not go to the drycleaners…. I have to go encounter Jesus, who gave his life for me.” Pope Francis
The sacrament of Reconciliation celebrates the forgiveness of our sins and reconciles us with God and the Church.
Reconciliation is available from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. every Saturday, and from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. every Friday before First Friday, in the church. Additional times are available during Advent and Lent.
First Reconciliation
Youth receiving this sacrament for the first time are prepared through family-centered programs that include several meetings of orientation and formation, a book that is completed together at home. Typically youth receive this sacrament in the second grade, but we are happy to accommodate children of any age. Youth are required to be enrolled in a Parish School of Religion or day school for at least one year prior to receiving the sacrament.
