Ever wonder what the Blessing of the Throats is all about? Every Feb. 3, we celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise and ask his intercession in protecting us from diseases and infirmities of the throat. Father Chris explains the story behind it, and shows how the blessing is given and received (in this case by our wonderful assistant Melissa Gwynne!).

Here at St. Francis Xavier Parish, you can have your throat blessed Tuesday, Feb. 3, during either the 7:30 a.m. Mass (celebrated by Father Chris) or the 9:15 a.m. school and parish Mass (celebrated by Father Thom).
