Spirituality Program for Adults leads journey into Ignatian prayer

Comment are off

Has the coronavirus pandemic left you feeling discouraged and disconnected from God? Now is a good time to reconnect with fellow parishioners to learn about the Ignatian spirituality that inspired St. Francis Xavier himself to devote his life to Jesus. In this condensed version of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Spirituality Program for Adults (SPA) introduces the discipline of daily prayer, meditation and journaling, while reflecting on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Join Deacon Paul Kipfstuhl and parishioners Mike Sweet and Brian Lombardi for seven Tuesdays of open discussion and reflection of faith within a small group, starting Sept. 8. The program is free and materials are provided; you will need a Bible.

“For it is not knowing much, but realising and relishing things interiorly, that contents and satisfies the soul.”

Ignatius of Loyola, The Spiritual Exercises

Have you completed this program before? Look for new mediations and a shorter commitment to a style of prayer that has inspired Catholics for centuries to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
