Welcome summer with some cheery annuals for your yard, and help our local pro-life groups at the same time! Our St. Francis Xavier Parish Respect Life Committee is taking orders for flats of bedding plants and Italian herbs, plus hanging baskets that make perfect Mother’s Day gifts.

Choose from flats (36 plants) of mixed-color impatiens, petunias, begonias, marigolds and geraniums (32 plants, add $5).

Hanging baskets (10-inch pots) are available in ivy geraniums, begonias, fuchsia, New Guinea impatiens and petunias. Choose your color from those available at pick-up.

Vegetable flats are available in cherry tomato, beef steak tomato, Roma tomato, sweet banana pepper, and green and red bell pepper. Then for that sauce you’ll need some Italian herbs, so don’t forget a pot of that, too (parsley, oregano, basil, rosemary and sage).

Cost is $20 for one, $15 each for two or more. Plants may be picked up outside of church after Masses on
Mother’s Day weekend.

Proceeds from the sale to benefit Birthcare, a volunteer-staffed agency that provides emergency assistance and support to families with infants and young children, and Oasis of Hope, a Christian pregnancy and parenting support center, both based here in Medina.
