October is Respect Life Month, and St. Francis Xavier Parish is alive with ways to show your support for human life! Here are four specific things you can do:

• Donate Diapers: Bring diapers to the parish office through Oct. 20 for new parents and babies who need help.  What else can you bring? Wipes, and checks made out to St. Francis Xavier Respect Life. Donations will support Birthcare of Medina County and Oasis of Hope.
• Sign a petition: The Ohio House of Representatives has introduced legislation, H.B. 294, to remove state funding from Planned Parenthood. Visit the Ohio Right to Life website here to sign a petition asking that our elected officials stand behind this bill, and stop using our tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood.
• Pray to end abortion: 40 Days for Life began Sept. 23 and goes until Nov. 1. Our parish will meet in the Buehler’s River Styx parking lot at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, to car pool to the Akron Women’s Clinic at 692 E. Market St. to pray for the victims of abortion, their parents, and those who commit or counsel for abortion. Take time each day during these 40 days to pray!
• Attend the March for Life: Mark your calendars now for the bus pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., for the March for Life from January 21 to 23. Watch the bulletin for details!
