Two priests who have served in the Democratic Republic of the Congo will be visiting St. Francis Xavier Parish on Thursday, July 23, and sharing stories about their work in Africa. Father Ernest Martello, an American priest whose sister lives in Hinckley, and Father Jean Marie Zawadi will be here for 7 p.m. Mass, followed by a potluck dinner in the Xavier Room. They’ll talk about their work at the Crosier mission there, and explain some of the needs that exist. All are invited (children included) to listen and share in the meal – bring a dish or bag of chips or dessert to share if you can. Plates, silverware, cups and water will be provided.
