Deacon Joe Marks 20 Years of Faithful Service

Comment are off

On May 21, Deacon Joe Loutzenhiser will mark 20 years since his ordination as a deacon in the Diocese of Cleveland. He prefers to celebrate simply, by attending 7:30 a.m. Mass that Wednesday morning, but we can’t let a milestone like this go by without allowing everyone the opportunity to express their appreciation for his ministry in our parish.

For 20 years he has served as the spiritual director for the Christ Renews His Parish women’s renewal teams, in addition to many other roles. He began working at the parish office in 1997, doing registration, teaching in the day school and PSR, teaching the baptism class and performing baptisms, teaching the confirmation class and offering spiritual direction. He is married to Georgia and they have two grown daughters and a beloved granddaughter, Kayla. Both Georgia and Joe retired in 2013.

Please stop by the church basement after the noon Mass on Sunday, May 25, for cake and to thank Deacon Joe for his many hours of dedicated service to our community. May God bless him and his family!
