Blanket Drive for Akron homeless

HomelessThis weekend — Saturday, Feb. 18, and Sunday, Feb. 19 — please consider contributing to a blanket drive to benefit the homeless of Akron. The fundraiser will be run by Justin Austin of Boy Scout Troop 506 as a part of his Eagle project. Justin is collecting new or gently used blankets (monetary donations also will be accepted). Donations will be collected at St. Francis Xavier Church before and after all Masses.

Justin, the 17-year-old son of BJ and Lisa Austin, will be taking the donations to Project Hope, an initiative of Archbishop Hoban High School teachers and students, where he will be helping to distribute them to the homeless around Akron.  Justin is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier School and a senior at Hoban.
