Arrivals Information

Start Time:

• Arrivals begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. Please do not arrive early to form a parking line.

Important Safety Reminder:

• The areas in front of the school building and gym are fire lanes and must remain clear.

Arrival Options:

1. Front of the School:
   • If you arrive before 8:30 a.m., please park in a designated space.
   • Wait for staff to arrive and escort your child across the parking lot using the crosswalk.
2. Gym Side:
   • Park in a space facing the Randel House.
   • Wait for staff to arrive near the gym entrance.
   • Once staff are present, enter the lane in front of the gym.

Assistance:

• Staff will be available during the first few weeks to help direct you.

Safety Precautions:

• The parking lot is a cell phone-free zone.
• Drive with caution at all times.

• Ensure that anyone who drops off your child is aware of these procedures.

Dismissal Information

Parking Lot Opening:

• The parking lot opens at 2:45 p.m., starting with preschool dismissal along the gym side to the learning side of the parking lot and drive.

Preschool Dismissal:

• Details will be provided by Mrs. Kelly Carlin at the parent meeting.

General Instructions:

• Enter the school from East Smith Road.
• Do not form a parking line before 2:45 p.m. as the entrance drive is a fire lane. Please park your car.

Early Arrivals:

• Park at the Randel House, playground (in front of the gym) or in the school parking lot.
• Meet your child at the big rock by the gymnasium.

Dismissal Times:

• Kindergarten – Grade 2: Dismissal starts at 3:10 p.m.
• Grades 3-8: Dismissal starts at 3:15 p.m.

Pickup Instructions:

• Meet your child by the rock.
• Leave promptly to make room for other parents.

Parking Lot Exit Routes:

• If parked on the playground, exit via Rt. 18.
• If parked in the school entrance lot, exit on Spring Grove Street with the buses.
• The far lane closest to the treeline must remain open during school hours.

East Smith Road Access:

• Only an entrance during school hours until 4 p.m.

Change of Transportation:

• Inform your child’s teacher of any transportation changes.
• If unable to reach the teacher, contact the school office before 2:30 p.m.

Late Arrivals:

• If running late, your child will wait at the front entrance or inside the school in bad weather.

Bus Transportation:

• Due to construction, consider using local school bus transportation.
• Contact your local school district’s transportation department for more information.
