The need is great this year. St. Vincent de Paul Society reports about 25 more families here in Medina are requesting baskets of food for their holiday meals than were served last year. About 180 families will get complete turkey dinners at Thanksgiving and at Christmas thanks to your generosity!

You can help by filling a grocery bag (or two!) with these items:

• 1 large can of sweet potatoes
• 2 cans of fruit (no glass)
• 1 package of noodles
• Muffin or quick bread mixes
• Stuffing mix (bag) or 2-3 boxes of Stove Top-type stuffing
• 2-3 cans of vegetables
• 1 can of cranberry sauce
• 2-3 cans of turkey gravy (no glass)
• 1 lb. of coffee

Return the filled bag(s) to the Randel House garage on Oct. 31 or Nov. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m., OR before Mass on Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Volunteers will be in the parking lot collecting the grocery bags.
