We were disappointed to not be able to offer our annual week of fun Vacation Bible School this summer for many of our youngest parishioners. However, we heard from a good number of families who said they would be interested in a virtual option, and we’re thrilled to have found a program that we think will be fun and educational – without too much work for families.

Backyard BOLT towards faith in Jesus is a 3-day VBS that is custom-made for churches and families during the COVID-19 shutdown. They have thought through the VBS experience and made it very user-friendly and easy for families to do at home. With minimal preparation, easy-to-follow instructions, and a video that leads kids step-by-step through each day, BOLT VBS is the perfect quarantine-friendly solution for St Francis Xavier.

This VBS contains all of the components that our VBS has always included: Bible stories, song, crafts, and games. You can watch the videos any time you are able, and you can rewatch them as many times as you would like throughout the summer. There is no cost for you, so we hope that many families will be able to enjoy this time growing in faith (home edition 😁).
