Back to school! One week till Curriculum Night

Comment are off

It’s almost time to go back to school! Father Thom has been busy painting blue and yellow (school colors) stripes on the hallway walls while everything gets refreshed and renewed and ready for a new school year. There’s even a new floor and color scheme in the Xavier Room.

One week from today, on Aug. 13, children will learn which classrooms they’ll be in this year, and parents of children in grades kindergarten through five will be coming to meet their teachers. For the first time, the school will host its annual Curriculum Night before classes start. There will be two presentations, at 7 and 7:45 p.m., so parents may listen to their children’s teachers discuss what they can look forward to this year. These presentations are for the parents only (no children, please).

On Saturday, Aug. 16, families will gather after the 5 p.m. Mass for the annual Tailgate Party, presented by the families of the eighth-grade students. Food  will be available for sale, and games and raffles will keep everyone entertained while they catch up with friends they have missed over the summer. Don’t miss this fun social opportunity as we say goodbye to summer and welcome a new school year!

Classes begin Monday, Aug. 18 — one day earlier than Medina City and Cloverleaf Local Schools, and two days earlier than Buckeye and Highland Local Schools.
