Christmas is just over 2 months away, and with the virus still present in our community we will need to celebrate Christmas differently than last year. Would you prefer to celebrate in the church, or does the virus still make you nervous to come indoors? Would you consider attending Mass in the gym, or do you feel safer watching the livestream at home? There are so many considerations and alternatives on the table, and we’re trying to determine how many Masses we need to accommodate everyone, and where.
As you can imagine, at Christmas we usually have a packed church – so much so that for years we’ve rented the Medina Performing Arts Center for additional capacity. Unfortunately we won’t have that option this year, since the PAC isn’t renting to outside groups. Considering all the social-distancing limitations, there’s little chance we can fit all those who might want to come in a normal year. It’s going to require some careful decision-making, so we need your input.
