She holds a teaching license for grades PreK-3 and is also certified in Reading for grades K-12. Mrs. Plute-Schlitter has been with the Diocese of Cleveland teaching Kindergarten at St. Francis Xavier since 2011. Prior to teaching at St. Francis Xavier School, she was a preschool teacher.
Personal and Interests
Mrs. Plute-Schlitter married her college sweetheart, Ryan (Boomer) in 2011. They became proud parents to Brynn Monica Marie Schlitter on August 16, 2015. Brynn was born 8 weeks early and spent a month in the Akron Children’s Hospital NICU which Amanda and Boomer now support in any way they can. Brynn’s best friend is her doggy-sister Abbey along with her many cousins. They are active members of St. Colette’s Parish in Brunswick and are blessed with many wonderful family and friends. Mrs. Plute-Schlitter loves to read, hike, watch movies and spend time with her family at home. Her favorite subject to teach in Kindergarten is Religion.
Reflection on St. Francis Xavier School
Mrs. Plute-Schlitter is an Alumni of St. Francis Xavier School and knows firsthand the benefits of a Catholic Education. She attended S.F.X. K-8 and truly feels at home while teaching alongside some of her old teachers. The staff, students, and families at St. Francis are what make Mrs. Plute-Schlitter excited every day to come to work.
