Prior to moving to Medina, Mrs. Gorman taught first grade at St. John the Baptist School in Monaca, PA.
Mrs. Gorman was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. She and her husband of 36 years, Kevin, relocated to Medina in 1989, where they raised 3 daughters: Erin (Rinto), who resides in Cincinnati; Christy (Stegemoller) , of Danville, IN; and Maura, living in Medina. All 3 of her daughters are graduates of St. Francis Xavier and Medina High School. She is especially pleased and proud that her daughters have all chosen to pursue careers in education. Mrs. Gorman enjoys spending time with her family, reading, walking 3-4 miles each day, and cheering on her favorite Pittsburgh teams, the Steelers and the Pirates.
Reflection on St. Francis Xavier School
Mrs. Gorman is thankful for the opportunity to spend the past 18 years with the families of St. Francis Xavier. Teaching in an environment in which faith is an integral part of each day is a gift. Mrs. Gorman is grateful to Fr. Tony Sejba and Sister Sandy Bevec for choosing her to implement a preschool program at St. Francis, as this was a life-long dream of hers. She is thrilled that the program has been so warmly received by the families in Medina.
