Education and Experience
Mrs. Carlin graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, grades 1-8 with a focus on English/Humanities. She taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade for many years in both Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Medina City Schools (H.G. Blake Elementary) until her children were born. Mrs. Carlin was the Discipline Committee Chairperson and Building Representative for the Medina City District-wide RTI Initiative.
Personal and Interests
Mrs. Carlin has been married to Scott and with their 2 sons, Brennan and Teagan, reside in Richfield. Both Brennan and Teagan are students at St. Francis Xavier School. They have a black lab/German short-haired pointer named Ella and nine chickens. Mrs. Carlin enjoys tending to her garden and taking family vacations to Hilton Head each summer. Her perfect day is one spent at the beach with her husband and sons! Her family raises chickens for eggs, taps their maple trees in the winter to make maple syrup and cans their veggies in the summer. Mrs. Carlin has been a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Parish since she was a child and even attended St. Francis Xavier School during her elementary years!
Reflection on St. Francis Xavier School
Mrs. Carlin is very excited to be a member of the 2nd grade team at St. Francis Xavier School. She feels very blessed to have attended SFX herself, have her children receive the amazing education at St. Francis Xavier and now to be a member of the fabulous staff. To be able to share in her students’ journey to First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist and teach about her faith each day is what she is most looking forward to.
